Ritual and Routine is about creating rituals that burn deeper than wax.
We exist at the intersection of two truths: emotional wellness needs anchors, and executive function needs structure.
What started as two separate paths—Ember Emotions (therapeutic ritual kits for emotional processing) and The Routinist (executive function coaching for adults with ADHD)—has merged into something more complete: Ritual and Routine.
Because we realized that you can't separate how you feel from how you function. The person struggling to get out of bed isn't just dealing with executive dysfunction—they're carrying unprocessed grief. The person who can't focus isn't just ADHD—they're drowning in loneliness. And the traditional wellness industry wasn't built for people who need both structure and softness.
The Bridge Between Knowing and Doing
Here's what we've learned: the gap exists everywhere.

Founded by Someone Who Lives in the Gap
Ritual and Routine was created by Nicole, who spent decades stuck between knowing and doing.
She knew she deserved better than a marriage where she carried all the invisible labor while feeling invisible herself. It took 16 years to do something about it. She filed for legal separation in April 2024.
She knew her ADHD brain needed different systems than everyone else's. She knew grief and transitions needed processing. But it took her own breakdown—to create rituals that could hold that weight.
Nicole builds tools from lived experience, not theory. The routines she teaches are the ones that she leaned on heavily during the hardest years of her life. The rituals she creates are what reminded her she belonged to herself when everything else fell apart.
She's a single parent navigating 50/50 custody. She has ADHD and aphantasia. She's an entrepreneur running two businesses while rebuilding her entire life. She lives in the gap every single day. And that's exactly why the tools work.
What We Believe
